Wrapped up his role as Supervising Post Producer on the hit True Crime series “Evil Lives Here” on Discovery/ID. This powerful series looks at the people who committed horrific crimes, from the point of view of their loved ones, unpacking complex emotions of betrayal, heartbreak, guilt, anger - and still love - in a personal quest to understand how this person they knew could do this…
I recently dove in creatively to collaborate with my good friend and musical soul brother, Ray Levier, on a powerful music video called “Bombs Inside My Head.” It’s the debut single and video from his critically-acclaimed new album “Lost & Found,” an artistic exploration of Ray’s journey of survival and renewal, after nearly dying from a horrific fire when he was 12. I directed, shot and edited this post-apocalyptic concept piece - and it was a blast.
I created a social media serial story called Tracking - both in text and short films on Facebook. It’s about losing my iPhone and my determined mission to get it back.
It was a spontaneous event I started writing about then documented in an all-iPhone video workflow. I still can’t believe how many people come up to me and want to talk about it. It’s got me thinking: what else I can do via this medium with my personal storytelling voice? Stay tuned…
Produced and edited a talent reel for chef Ariane Duarte. Includes excerpts of her showdown with Bobby on "Beat Bobby Flay," her challenges and victories on Top Chef with Tom Colicchio and the iconic Martha Stewart, many of her fun appearances on NBC's Today Show and more. Ariane is a top-rated chef who brings comfort food to a new level: both sophisticated & unpretentious and always…delicious! She's a sweet & sassy Jersey Girl - and executive chef/owner of the lauded Ariane Kitchen & Bar in Verona, NJ (formerly of Culinariane in Montclair, NJ). Look out for her on your screen!
Another short video with Hernan Romero for Earthworks Audio. This is a promo companion to the high concept film we did. Earthworks makes mind-blowing microphones. And Romero is a virtuoso. Check them both out! Such a pleasure working with them.
The Before I Die Wall is a beautiful community art project created by artist Candy Chang, who used it as perspective and a healing tool after going through a difficult time. It sparked a movement that has organically spread around the world. Some friends of mine brought it to my town in NJ, in the alley of a cafe. As a gift to my friends and the cause, I made a sweet and super short film on its opening, which happened on a gorgeous early Fall day. - scott
We won 2 Telly Awards for the It's Who You Know web series. One for the series and one for the film on Ray Levier. This series is such a feel-good project, and it feels even better when people get it and give it props. Thanks to all who watched, believed and participated - and to collaborator Eric Feldman helping to make it happen. Onward!
Here's a fun clip to see all the brands and campaigns we worked on for Omnicom Group's submissions for Cannes Lions. Congrats to all the short-list-ers and winners! Great stuff.
The last installment of some great music tech videos we shot for Sonnox plug-ins. This one features WingTip's own awesome Claudine Ohayon! Claudine is an Emmy-award winning producer, who spends most of her time as a professional VoiceOver actor with William Morris Endeavor. Watch how she has embraced technology and state-of-the-art audio software to compete at the highest level. We also did segments with legendary drummer Omar Hakim, and recording engineer Peter Moshay. Sonnox did nice job putting them together with our footage.
Scott was co-creative leader of a team that produced 66 short films to be submitted to the prestigious Cannes Lions awards by media giant Omnicom, and many of their agencies (RAPP, The Marketing Arm and many more). Another great collaboration with show-runner Eric Feldman, as well as Original Productions. Our team showed fellow Creatives why these campaign were brilliant and award-worthy. Wishing them luck in June!
Another episode of It's Who You Know! Meet our friend Mark Fewell, who approaches every aspect of his life like an adventure - whether he's working as an entrepreneur, a journalist, surfer, TV host or on the board men's health charity Movember. Check out this It's Who You Know video on our friend Dick Boak. Artist, Craftsman, Architect, Writer, Historian and... in his various roles at CF Martin & Co. - upholder of the legacy of the great American acoustic guitar!
Here's a sweet little video we put together for author Laura Zinn Fromm on her book "Sweet Survival: Tales of Cooking & Coping." It's a collection of essays interwoven with recipes that all lead toward using the kitchen and food - in a good way - to navigate the dysfunctions of life. You can get the book at Greenpoint Press.
It's Who You Know is an official selection for the 2014 CBGB Music & Film Festival. Several music-centric episodes including the premier of 2 new films will be screened in NYC on October 9. More info to come!
Scott directed a short film that will be part of the STAND UP TO CANCER event on Friday September 5 at 8pm. Its on about 30 networks including ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX and, of course, ESPN NEWS. Scott's film is about an inspiring - and classy - woman named Beverly who is surviving cancer and thriving thanks to a clinical trial that SU2C created and funded. The star-studded event - produced by Tenth Planet Productions - will be amazing. Please watch and maybe even crack the wallet open. It's really a cause worth getting behind.
It's Who You Know (IWYK)
You've gotta meet this friend of mine… Some people are so fascinating, they deserve an hour long documentary. Do you have 5 minutes?
Scott has created an original film project/web series with former MTV cohort Eric Feldman about the amazing people they know. We all know inspiring, brilliant, crazy, quirky people. It's time the world knew them too.

Another new cool music tech video I shot, this time with the brilliant Omar Hakim - drummer for Miles Davis, Sting, Madonna, Daft Punk and countless others. Omar is also a great composer and engineer. You can geek out on that stuff here with this nice video put together by Sonnox plug-ins.
Scott and scoring partner Rich Tozzoli composed more than 2 hours of stunning meditation music for Deepak Chopra & Oprah Winfrey's 21 Meditation Challenge: Miraculous Relationships. It was like scoring a film - without a film, only the images in your mind!
Nearly 700,000 people participated online! The CD is available now.

Scott recently directed some intimate music & interview videos for modern NYC blues artist Keith Paine. Imagine if Eddie Vedder was laying down some sultry urban soul. Great vibe.
We created this fun "About Us" for the wonderful Bike & Walk Montclair, a nationally recognized non-profit advocacy group. Towns that are pedestrian and bicycle friendly have thriving local businesses, healthier citizens, higher real estate values and stronger sense of community. It's a Win-Win-Win…! This cause is near & dear to WingTip's heart.
We recently shot a cool video project mixing musical, video and technical worlds for the prestigious audio software company Sonnox, who did a great job putting it together. A profile with legendary audio engineer/producer Peter Moshay (Hall & Oates) on how he uses their software to create world-class recordings. Pete also produces the hit tv/web show Live From Daryl's House.
